I trained in the UK and came to work in New Zealand as an SMO in Rheumatology and General Medicine in 2010. I stepped up as the Head of Rheumatology at Waikato DHB in 2019. I have a strong interest in Health Informatics and left GM in 2018 to work in this space for the DHB. I have two children and am heavily involved in athletics as a coach and a competing athlete.

Sarah is a Consultant Rheumatologist based in Dunedin. She works in both public and private practice. Sarah is a co- clinical leader for the Southern DHB Rheumatology service and works as an Honorary Clinical Lecturer for the University of Otago. She joined the NZRA executive in 2021 and was co-convener for the 2021 NZRA ASM.

Will Taylor is a rheumatologist based in Wellington. He trained in Rheumatology and Rehabilitation Medicine in Lower Hutt, Middlemore Spinal Unit, and Leeds (UK). His PhD concerned classification criteria for psoriatic arthritis (CASPAR criteria). He is also Associate Professor at the University of Otago (Wellington) and visiting Rheumatologist to Gisborne Hospital.

Professor Nicola Dalbeth is a specialist rheumatologist who holds dual appointments at Auckland District Health Board and the University of Auckland. She leads a programme of gout research at the University of Auckland. Aligned to this work, she has led both national and international initiatives to improve gout management, focused on advocacy, destigmatization, and education. She served as a member of the Core Leadership Team for the 2020 American College of Rheumatology Gout Management Guidelines.
I’m originally from Singapore, but has called New Zealand my home now. I’m very much an introvert and enjoys reading.
Hugh grew up on Auckland’s North Shore. After completing a science degree at the University of Auckland he attended University of Otago Medical School (2008). He undertook specialist training in both Rheumatology and General Medicine in the Auckland region and completed his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2016. He is currently employed at Waitemata District Health Board as a Consultant Rheumatologist and General Physician. He also works part time in private practice.
Rebecca is a rheumatologist in Wellington. She also has an appointment at University of Otago Wellington where she does teaching and research in rheumatology, medical education and digital health technologies. Rebecca has worked at the Wellington Regional Rheumatology Unit in public practice for almost 2 decades and is a Professor of Medicine at University of Otago Wellington.
